MONO NO AWARE | A Short Film by Jackson MacLeod
In a series of thematically interconnected vignettes, college students prepare for adulthood.
In MONO NO AWARE, I sought to depict the otherworldly nature of college life—this strange point where you live at school and are surrounded by friends and mentors, but you are also obligated to deal with real-life events and responsibilities. You are treated as an adult but aren’t one quite yet, and there is fear that comes with that.
Overall, my film is about a niche period in someone's life and how people react differently to what that period brings.
