The Shrewsbury Public Library | English Conversation Circle
For my semester-long final project in my Filmmaking in Spanish class, I was tasked with directing a short promotional or informational video for a local community partner, highlighting non-English speaking voices. With the help of a wonderful small crew consisting of a cinematographer, editor, and scriptwriter, I received the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in the Shrewsbury Public Library's English Conversation Circle program, meet many great people, and produce a video that gives a little insight into what that incredible program is like.
This was my first time working as a director of a film crew and the longest amount of time I have worked on a single project. My main goal for the video was to have a clear narrative arc and to highlight the voices of both the inspirational students within these programs and the volunteers who run them.
