EL DIRECTOR | Spanish Short Film with Subtitles

Through his experience in Professor Franco’s Filmmaking in Spanish course, Jackson ponders a career path.

This was the first short film I ever crafted or directed, and it served as my midterm project for the Filmmaking in Spanish class the film is centered around.

We had a loose prompt for the midterm that said we could make a less-than-one-minute video (I went a little over) that showed anything we had learned thus far in the course. I took a more ambitious approach and formulated a narrative starring my brother as myself, my classmates as themselves, and one of my film professors as himself.

Not only is this short film about how the class activated my passion for filmmaking, but through making the film itself, I started to learn the process and fall in love with it as well.
